This morning we had a few more hours at the Monastery which included a tour of the Monastery museum. Sadly, no photos were allowed. We then journeyed to Plovdiv with a very nice stop for a wine tasting with snacks at the Besse Valley Winery. We enjoyed this a lot. Grapes are still picked by hand (everywhere in Bulgaria) and all of the wines were red blends from four grape varieties: Merlot, Syrah, Petit Verdo, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
