Not much to report today. We went by bus from Prague to Nuremberg and by the time we completed the approximately 4 hour journey, had lunch, and got checked in to our cabin on the ship it was nearly dinner time.
The ship is very nice. Only 140 passengers on three decks. We have a room on the top deck with a French balcony.
This is the ship's lobby.
And the bar/lounge area.
Dinner was very good and local red or white wine is included at no extra charge.
Here is the restaurant.
And there is even a cute little gingerbread house by the restaurant entrance.
And our cabin stewardess makes totally adorable little critters out of towels and leaves them on the bed each morning.
We will be cruising on the Main-Danube Canal from Nuremberg to Kelheim before meeting up with the Danube River. We will go through 10 locks and cross the Continental Divide along the way. There is a lot of ice on the river in some places and sometimes it looks and sounds like we are one of those ice breaker ships.
Wow, what an elegant stateroom and vessel! You can sit on your balcony in your woolies and watch the scenery go by. And, speaking of woolies, winter has hit here - highs in 40's and lows in 30's with off and on drizzle.
