Melk Abbey, Austria

Melk Abbey, an Austrian Benedictine abbey, was founded in 1089. The current Baroque abbey was built between 1702 and 1736. I found it absolutely stunning and since a picture is worth a thousand words I shall let a few of them speak for me.

The marble room.

A spiral staircase.

One of many awesome ceilings.

The church.
