Royal Leamington Spa

Royal Leamington Spa is a spa town that reached the height of its popularity in the nineteenth century. We visited the museum there to see their needlework collection. Unfortunately the lighting was very poor, there were spotlights as well as strip flourescent lighting, so getting decent pictures was a real challenge. The items below were all ones they brought out specially for us.

The two items below were in the public display area.

In the afternoon we visited the Forge Mill Needle Museum and learned all about how needles were made by hand. Really interesting stuff but not a lot of opportunity for photos.
