Budleigh Salterton & Sidmouth

First up today was the Budleigh Salterton museum. It was a lovely little museum with a thatched roof.

We then moved on to the Sidmouth museum. Below are items from both museums.

There was a great beaded dress ...

Some maltese lace. You can identify these by the maltese cross.

Some Branscombe Point lace.

Plus some more Honiton lace and other types.

This partially worked piece of Torchon lace gives you some idea of what's involved in making bobbin lace.

There was also some amazing white work.

And my personal favorite ...

And a cute little sampler made by a 6 year old.
