Kingsbridge & Dartmoor

This morning was spent in the Cooksworthy Museum in Kingsbridge. They had several pieces of needlework to show us.

In the afternoon we drove through the Dartmoor area with its beautiful scenery (unfortunately the day was hazy).

We also stopped to see a Clapper or Post Bridge. From Wikipedia: A clapper bridge is an ancient form of bridge found on the moors of Devon (Dartmoor and Exmoor) and in other upland areas of the United Kingdom. It is formed by large flat slabs of stone, often granite or schist, supported on stone piers (across rivers). The Clapper bridge is in the foreground and a newer bridge is in the background.
