St Gallen, Switzerland

We spent today in St Gallen. We started at the Textile Museum where we saw some interesting bits of embroidery.

Afterward we wandered around town stopping at the Chocolaterie (of course!).

Then we visited the beautiful Cathedral.

There were interesting buildings everywhere.

These are called oriel windows - they were a typical status symbol of well-to-do textile merchants in the 17th and 18th centuries.
