Sainte Croix, L'Auberson & Castle Valangin, Switzerland

This morning we took a brief walk around Sainte Croix. It has many interesting sights.

Afterwards,we visited an absolutely amazing music box museum, the Musee Baud in L'Auberson, Switzerland. According to Wikipedia, the museum houses one of the largest collections of music boxes, automatons, musical clocks, and gramophones in the world. The three Baud brothers, Frédy, Robert, and Auguste, began collecting and restoring automatons in 1946, and the museum opened on 2 October 1955. It was really incredible. One of the curators turned on the majority of the music boxes and automatons. While some of them were rather small.

Others were really BIG.

In the afternoon we visited the medieval Valangin Castle. We had time to tour the castle then saw some of their priceless collection of Neuchâtel lace.

The castle also had some unusual windows and sculptures.
