We are currently in Kinsale, a cute little seaside town. It was turned into a walled town in 1381. This model shows what it would have looked like in 1601.
We visited Charles Fort. This fort was built by the English between 1677 and 1682 as a star fort, a layout specifically designed to resist attack by cannon. It was burned in 1922.

Kinsale is known for its colorful buildings.
