Palouse Falls State Park, Washington

Palouse Falls State Park is near the south eastern edge of Washington. To get there you drive for a long time through the desert-like terrain of Eastern Washington. The average rainfall here is about 13 inches a year so the sight of this ginormous waterfall is pretty darn spectacular. The falls are approximately 185 ft (56 m) high.



Below is a close-up of that interesting rock formation on the plateau to the left of the waterfall. Notice the little teeny people on the right in the picture.


And this is the equally awesome view in the other direction.
